Hey there — we’re Shelly and Alex, the duo behind Competitors Outlet. We started this store because, like many of you, we know what it’s like to chase big fitness goals and deal with the aches and pains that come along for the ride.

How it All Started

Alex grew up in a martial arts school — literally. From age 10 to 18, if he wasn’t at school, he was training and teaching martial arts. Fast forward to adulthood, and he’s a lifelong weightlifter and recovery enthusiast who has battled ankle, knee, and back injuries and figured out that smart training and recovery are non-negotiable if you want to keep moving.

A lifelong runner, Shelly grew up racing in track and cross country, which turned into a love for endurance sports — now a triathlete and 13x marathoner. She's on a mission to run a race in all 50 states — and every continent (yes, including Antarctica, but she might need a really good sauna after that one).

Together, we believe that fitness is more than just working out — it’s about taking care of your body before, during, and after. Whether you're an athlete or just getting started, the right equipment makes all the difference — and we're here to help you find it.

In 2020, we launched Competitors Outlet because we saw a need for a trusted resource where people could shop for high-quality fitness, wellness, and recovery equipment — with real support and expert guidance.
